What it is
'Because of Nurses' is an initiative dedicated to recognizing and supporting oncology nurses through acts of appreciation, moments of relief, and community driven generosity.
Why we do it
Nurses play an incredible role in the lives of cancer patients. They show up every day with compassion, strength, and care, while often carrying the emotional weight of the patients they serve.
This program exists to give back to them in meaningful ways and to ensure they feel seen, valued, and appreciated.
How it works
We support nurses through the following:
- Monthly raffles featuring donated gift cards, services, and experiences
- Appreciation visits with treats, meals, and care items
- Partnerships with local businesses to provide moments of rest and recognition
